If you're still with me, I stumbled across this a few years ago. I have no idea who wrote it or where it came from, nor do I want to know. It's enough just to enjoy it for what it is.
Although not necessarily obvious on first read, the story is incredibly dense. Each sentence tells a chapter's worth of story, and the author packs an entire book into two and a half pages.
And it ends with a classic twist: their Predictor got things 100% right and yet 100% wrong at the same time.
