Big News! Er, I mean, Little News! Let's call it Little Big News!

Let's hope it isn't ugly or $10k. The little 250 version is pretty slick!

The current drop of little bikes are...fine, but they're nothing like an inline 4.

I hope they make a 1000cc version with full electronics! Or maybe a 400cc parallel twin version! Either would be good!

Just kidding, a modern 400cc I-4 sport bike (done well) sounds like an absolute blast. But I have to wonder ... who will buy it? I mean, I get that we like it but we are pretty bohemian when it comes to our taste in motorcycles.

It will likely be...small! The CB-1 is more comfy in stock trim, but when zooming, the bars and pegs are much better with my current setup. Wonder if they'll ever get to adjustable bits on all sport bikes?

Let's hope it isn't ugly or $10k.

That's a good point and it will be interesting to see where the MSRP lands. Compare it to something like the Ninja 650: it will likely make almost as much power but have better frame, suspension, and brakes.

The Ninja 650's MSRP is $7899. If it does wind up a sportier and more serious bike than the 650 it will likely cost more.

To me, nearly all of the newer bikes are ugly, and have been for some time. The multitude of sharp angles aren't attractive. The 25R isn't bad, and would be better in prettier colors, like this.

There's no comparison the the peak.

Because of the complexity of design and build, I fully expect them to MSRP ~$8k, which isn't terrible in today's market, if they fit regular humans.

No substitute for 4 cylinders!

Comparison:

His stupid grin says it all.
