I told him to rent a Beemer while he was here but wouldn't listen.  He insisted on renting a Buell, and then complained non-stop about how uncomfortable it was.  I got so tired of hearing about it that I gave him the R1100S for the weekend and toughed it out on that awful XB12R.  And it was pretty damn awful.

And if so, where do you ride?  KK and I have full suspension bikes that we occasionally ride at Sherman Branch or the Whitewater Center.  If you've watched YouTube videos of people ripping down mountains at insane speeds and clearing fifty-foot jumps, that is not us.  We are both agonizingly slow, and I crash a lot - often painfully and with broken bones.  But even at our slow pace, it's great excercise.

Anyway, I'm just asking because it would be cool to have a CMR ... er I mean CBR, group ride.  And maintaining the six-foot rule would be no problem as we will be miles not feet behind.   Sad

** SOLD **

This is a 2019 Giant Sedona DX Disc in excellent condition. I am the original owner and it includes the optional Giant rear-mount kickstand.

  • Size XL (6' or taller IMO)
  • Garage kept
  • Never crashed
  • Excellent condition
  • Disc brakes
  • Handlebars adjustable for both height and reach
  • Comfortable suspension fork and seatpost

You can view the full specifications for this bike at the Giant website:

https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/sedona-dx-disc

I have done a few upgrades to this bike:
  • Schwalbe Big Ben tires with reflective stripe
  • Shimano bottom bracket
  • Shimano crankset

It might be a little crazy to upgrade the components on a comfort bike, but 1) I am crazy and 2) the Shimano components are so much better than the OEM bottom bracket and crankset.  And money spent on improving the drivetrain is always money will spent IMO. (Note that the Giant website says the Sedona DX comes with a Shimano bottom bracket but it does not. Mine had a generic BB with plastic parts. The Shimano BB is all-metal.)

This is a great bike in great condition, and I am only selling it because I upgraded to a new bike.   [Image: tongue.png]

$325, and we can meet or deliver anywhere along I-485.

Effective immediately "Charlotte Motorcycle Riders" will become "Charlotte Bicycle Riders".  Currently in the works are new logos, new forum descriptions, and new custom titles.

We believe this change accurately reflects both the short-term needs of people (due to the NC "Stay At Home" order) and the longer-term changes in society (more focus on fitness).

Fortunately, the URL of the website does not need to be changed.

I encourage everyone to post pictures of their bicycles, talk about their bicycles, and maybe post some polls about their bicycles.

Thanks, and welcome to CBR!

What do you do when the weather is beautiful and you really want to go on a Mountain Run but you can't because it's your own damn fault for parking the bikes for ten years?  Well in today's case we decided to shoot some Sporting Clays.  That's allowed under the "stay at home" order - it falls under the category of "excercise". Eh, all I ever go outside for is to buy food and excercise anyway.   Rolleyes  Seems like a bit of an overreaction to have a police-enforced 'stay-at-home' order, but whatever.  We'll survive, unless we die.

Kinda funny that we got CMR back up and running just in time for the "stay at home shitposting fest" to begin.   Big Grin

On a completely unrelated note, holy cow these smilies suck!   Sad  Admin, can we not get smilies that don't suck?
