The forecast for next weekend is looking pretty good!  A little on the cool side maybe but nothing terrible.  And I have a feeling this will be the last weekend of 2020 that we can say that.

So let's make the best of it and put in a few hundred miles of good old fashioned Mountain Run!

Everyone is invited and it would be great to see some old faces.  (*cough*HIGHWAY*cough*CHUTCH)   Smile

I want to go to the mountains tomorrow! Dance   The weather looks great and the foliage should be beautiful.  Anyone else interested in going?

Man, that is so close to being the perfect Mountain Run bike.  Decent riding position, good handling, good wind protection, plenty of power, abs, tcs (with the new Bosch IMU no less), heated grips ($300), color tft display, and available saddle bags, all for under $13K.  Really, the only negatives I could come up with are that it's a four-cylinder and has a chain drive.  If it was a big twin (or even a triple) I'd have bought it on the spot.

I can't believe Kawasaki is the only one of the big four making a bike like this.  (The FJR is significantly larger and heavier so it's kind of in a different class.)  The GSX-S1000F would be an option, but they really need to update it with some of the nifty tech the Ninja has, LIKE CRUISE CONTROL.

Or BMW could make an F900GT.  That would work too.   Cool

Xenforo is widely considered to be the best forum software available today, and we are going to switch to it.

We are running a test server right now, and if all goes well with that we will do the conversion on the real server in mid to late October.  Total downtime should be less than eight hours (and hopefully much less).

All accounts and posts will be retained after the conversion.  The forums will look different (but not wildly so) and initially there will be no customizations.  There are only eighteen of us working at the secret CMR test facilities deep in the Nevada desert so customizations will take some time.

You will have to log in again when the new site is up, but your username and password will be the same.

I will post more as we get closer to the conversion date, and if you have any questions feel free to ask them.  Maybe someone will answer.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week are looking like amazing weather.  Don't know how many nice days we have left in 2020, so I'm going to the mountains. Gotta git while the gittin is good.

Anyone interested?

But then, I didn't get the Honda Valkyrie or the Triumph Rocket either and both of those sold well enough.   Confused

** SOLD **

Bought this new back in March for $630+tax.   Eek  Sadly for me (but maybe good for you) it just doesn't fit right.  Includes all the original goodies - helmet bag, pinlock inserts, breath guard, chin guard, shield lube, and manual.  Not a scratch on it anywhere and worn less than ten times.  $350.

This is an awesome jacket but it doesn't fit me anymore.  Has shoulder, elbow, and back armor, a snap-in quilted liner, arm vents, nice metal zippers, and is made with thick heavy leather.  It also has a zipper to attach to Teknic pants or any other pants that use the same zipper as Teknic (google that for more info).

It looks like it's never been worn and it's not even broken in yet.  I'm gonna guess I wore it less than five times.  Sad

Size is listed as 52, but I'd say if you normally wear a 48 or 50 this would be a good fit.

$100 for a CMR member.
