Boike, JAS, Rocket Dan - here's our thread to weather watch. Right now looks like low of 49 in the AM, 69 in the afternoon for Sunday.

My AirBNB cancel by is Monday the 24th at 4pm, so I will be making the call then. I don't plan on setting a lap record, but look forward to seeing everyone and riding my motorcycle around in circles with you if ya'll decide to go.
 
We've got tickets to Patriot (and North on Monday) and a Tiny House booked for the weekend. If the weather cooperates we are in!

Current forecast (which is never wrong the day before let alone ten days out) is sunny with a high of 70!

edit - wait a second Andy, are you saying you have motorcycle??!?
 
You need a motorcycle for this???? I was planning on riding the Addict RC. Crap.

Actually you're good! That does not have an engine larger than 185cc so it qualifies for the Mini Moto group. Passing rules will be the same as for Intermediate. Do you already have the suspension set up for your weight? Oh wait never mind.

I would need a group of about 50 other guys to draft to even average 30mph for a single lap. Is that fast enough? Can I lasso Dan on the Cub up the hills?
 
Harumph.

On the one hand, a quarter-inch of rain isn't much. On the other hand, being out in the dirt running generators for eight hours while it rains does not excite me.

edit - we've done 22 track days this year and the thought that we might be done for the year is unpleasant. We should have done more!
 
Yea….I agree, and was hoping if not that maybe the Sandhills would work. But it’s looking meh down there too.
 
I'm torn. If it was CMP there is no question we'd be going both days (and if it rains it rains) but I'm down on VIR lately. They charge a premium price but the facilities don't justify it. And then there's lodging, which is expensive but still somehow manages to suck. And yes I'm feeling very EOG this morning.

Yesterday afternoon I was 100% out, given the weather forecast. Today....if you guys were jumping up and down to go, I'd go.

Might just cancel my airBNB today and try to wait it out until Wednesday am, then try and re-book the room, day etc. if weather clears. Didn't do bike prep yesterday because I was out, so the 690 is still a giant dirt bike. I went....last year(two years ago? CRC syndrome) and it rained in the morning (I was one of about 3 guys who rode anyway - it sucked a bit skating around, but I still got a good warm up in for the PM sessions).
 
We have tickets to go and haven't canceled our AirBNB yet. We still have a few days to decide and are milking it for all it's worth. I'm in the same boat as you Andy; if you guys are going we'll probably make the trek up there too. Otherwise we're on the fence. KK isn't terribly excited about going but then again she can change her mind faster than an R1 can explode..
 
Hahaha, and I will wait for you two to decide! Need to trade a tire out if I go.

Or we can all go to the Sandhills on Saturday since Andy’s dirt tires are still on…..
 
You could ride Scruffy, Andy...except that it is very apart.

Hah, no worries but thank you very much! I don't see myself on a "fold knees into pretzel shape" bike again, but thank you! Very generous!

Edit: AirBNB cancelled. Going to wait a couple days and see if nicer weather + enthusiasm return.
