How appropriate that they are both listed under motorcycle parts. I like that the guy with the "been stored in a field for 30 years" GS550 thinks he's going to part it out. Exactly what parts does he think are worth anything? Did he paint the gas tank with a broom, or did Suzuki do that?

The "B-Mart needs another motorcycle like a hole in the head but it's small and won't take up much space" Ad

It is a fun bike. I nearly bought a clean one years ago...and those two basket cases years later. I think that I am past carbs. Just two bikes with them left in stock.

My brother started on a GS1150E. I started on a GS700ES. It wa a nice style between the earlier models and the later plastic covered bikes.

I'm sure that it would feel terrible by today's standards, but I still think it was gorgeous.

Always wanted the GS1150E - they were killer drag bikes. The 700es looked alot like the Katana 1000. Which turns out makes a pretty good drag bike too, I never lost a race on it. I think it helped that I weighed 140lbs.

If I had $95,000 to spend on a bike, I would probably spend $95,000 on that bike.

I remember thinking they were expensive at $5,000 back in Brad's Era. You know, the 90s

Eric keeps threatening to love these old small bikes. Let's see if he means it after sticking me with big bird...

I have the desire to own old bikes but neither the space to keep them nor the skill to maintain them.

If you want to help me spend money, help me find an RS660 or R7 that isn't MSRP+dest+setup+docs! Because the dealers I've talked to won't budge. They know another sucker will be along tomorrow to pay it.

edit - it's the setup+doc fees that kill me. Those are BS fees. I'm willing to pay MSRP+dest in full - which I've never done before!

CB-1s are nice, but if I wanted to put money, time, and effort into an old 400, it would be an FZR400!

Or, as a distant second, a Bandit 400.

edit - Richard Hammond, lol. "Hey Marty we need to review a tiny bike. Get the tiny presenter!"

Heavy little 400...and one of those bikes where they've reused the name for other bikes! lol
