Exhibit A is a first gen SV650. Seller just discounted the bike to the low, low price of $5000, FIRM.





Exhibit B is this beauty. Kawasaki is so proud of this bike that if you want a new one, you will have to pay a bit over $12,000. $12,000!!! But this guy will sell you his used one for only $18,500, which is a bargain since he's put over $21,000 into it.



I should sell my R1100S. It must be worth at least a million.

If I were to buy an SV, I would only buy a spotless one, with history, and spares.

To put that SV in context, that is same price we paid for Ruhe's bike. It came with stands, spare wheels (captive spacers), two sets of new tires, digital warmers, spare exhaust, and 90% of a spare engine. And the bike itself was built to the moon and clean enough to eat off of.

Or, we could have bought that. ^^

Going in the opposite direction from the first two bikes, here's a one owner VFR800 from 2000 with only 3500 miles! Someone needs to buy this thing before I do because I don't have any place to put it.

So anyway, speaking of interesting bikes for sale, I'm wondering ... how does a no-name bike of dubious origin present itself as a good value at $5355 ($4695+$410+$250)? I mean, you could get a new Kawasaki Z400 out the door for less and why wouldn't you. Are motorcycle dealerships so low on inventory that you can't walk in and walk out with one? These ads strikes me as insanity ... but most things do so I guess it's just business as usual.

The CSC bikes in the previous post sparked my interest, so I went digging and found this. At the start of the video I told myself "Self, I bet the CSC is more modern and feature-rich but I bet the Royal Enfield is more sorted and cohesive and I bet it ends up winning". Spoiler alert: I was right.

So the CSC is loaded with features and is modern but lacks refinement. On the other hand parts are cheap and available and support is good. Still, there's no way I'd buy one of these over something like a small Kwacker to Yammy. It just doesn't make any sense.
