OK! I am going to need them again when I get Pigpen back from Maxspeed to install some captive spacers (they require a bearing swap) but who knows when that will be!

I settled on the Kijaro dual-lock. And now that I have one I've noticed many others at track days so I'm not the only one that has come to that conclusion. It's not a canopy chair though.
Why do you hate canopies? Could it be that you haven't tried the right one yet? Although they all work basically the same, the devil is in the details. We're on our third canopy, and we finally did what we should have done all along: bought an EZ-UP. They cost a bit more but they address all the little annoying things with the other brands we have tried.
The most annoying being those little push buttons to lock the legs in place. They are freaking hard (and sometimes painful) to push in, and when they break, your canopy is done.

Exactly! But also my EOG doesn’t want to carry another thing. And set it up and tie it to gas cans, generators and tool cases, then it starts to get windy before the rain tear it all down, blah blah blah blah I am getting old I guess………

I hear you on that, and it's why we rent a garage whenever we can. But when you can't, you need a canopy.

If you get a tent you just have to go straight to a 10x10 commercial pop up tent. The EZ Up is a great one. There are a few others that are on par.
It’s also good to just get weights for the legs. I have a set that straps to the legs so you don’t have to worry with can/buckets and straps.
But I try and use my tent as infrequently as possible. Mainly because it is way easier to use a garage, and in a garage you are truely getting out of the elements. The tents give you shade, but they don’t get you out of the sun.

Apparently there’s some guy running around in the gas pumps with a sweet hat!
Will this pass tech or be a good idea? The last pic is of the left side for reference. Guess I should have flipped them after two days. They have four days total on them. CMP-CMP-S-S.

1- you need a tread depth gauge, even a cheap one.

2- hard to tell from the pics, if you're not at the wear bars (or lower) at the spot with the least tread (and no strange shapes), I'd totally rock those.
3- if you track usage, you can get it nearly right nearly every time for maximum use. Of course, I have a spreadsheet for that. Some old fronts:
